Session 1 - Bad Seed

We begin In Boise, Idaho, where in the past week, children have been disappearing without a trace, worrying the townfolks, and the local officials fearing a widespread panic.

Agents Ragner and Forge went to investigate and met with Sheriff Brooks. This led the agents to the “Pumpkin Festival” a festival celebrated by the town.

As Agent Ragner and Sheriff Brooks approach the festival, suddenly a large flash appeared! Agent Forde was inside the agent’s car with his laptop but he warned them too late.

And so begins tonight’s episode…

Bjorn Forde: Agent Ragner and Sheriff Brooks stop!!!!

Agent Ragner jumps behind the car in time, but Sheriff Brooks is too late
Her body lies in a small ditch, lifeless…

The explosion came from the main stage, many of the townsfolk are dead

GM: What do the agents do?
John Ragner: i draw my gun out and check on the brooks

From afar, you see what appears to be small children wearing pumpkin masks, or are they, and they’re attacking the remaining townsfolk!

GM: The two agents from the sheriff’s station arrive
Officer Dole: What happened?!
Officer McClane: Where is sheriff Brooks?
Bjorn Forde: she gone dead

Officer McClane knows this is her town and won’t take shit from no one! The creature falls to the ground and begins to shake!

John Ragner: i just saw the black ooze hissed at me and went into the ground dont not get close to them

Officer McClane shoots the other creature in the leg and he falls to the ground, clutching his leg in pain.

GM: He attempts to rise from the ground…

GM: He gets up from the ground, but it consumes his action…

With sheer force, he rises from the ground and begins to run at the agents!

Officer Dole hits one of the creature but just grazes him.

GM: You both notice that each pumpkin has a “stem” or a gourd on top of their pumpkin head.

John Ragner: it might take them out

A fire is quickly growing from the stage, about 100’ away from you.

Bjorn Forde: Isn’t it odd that there was 5 missing children and 5 of these creauteres
John Ragner: you think the children are these creauteres
John Ragner laughs out loud!
John Ragner: creatures
Bjorn Forde: aren’t they child sized
John Ragner: there a fire behind us we have to start moving
John Ragner: we cant stay here anylonger

Officer McClane shoots the stem off and the pumpkin head shell explodes!

However, a small child underneath is revealed, healthy, but unconscious.
A large black ooze forms to a large humanoid creature and then seeps into the ground.

GM: Two are left and they begin running towards you!
GM: [1d6 = 3]
GM: [1d6 = 5]

GM: The stem explodes!

A large ooze seeps on the ground, forming a black puddle and then disappears. After a series of gunfire, officer Dole looks scared.

Officer Dole: Make a Spirit roll for him

GM: Officer Dole decides to run away!!!
Officer Dole: [1d6 = 2]

GM: You hit the pumpkin head but he is still alive

The final creature’s pumpkin head explodes, but not harming the boy inside.
The black ooze seeps out of his ears, and into the ground, but not before forming into a faceless head and hisses at you!!!

GM: The boy’s mind is scared, but happy he’s safe
GM: He says to you that these creatures took over their bodies.
boy: I was so afraid mister!
boy: They were telling us that they’re from another planet, and needed our body for food!
boy: They were gonna take us away real soon, but were too weak ‘cause their spaceship crashed.
GM: That is all he knows.
John Ragner: ship ?
boy: Yes, mister, a spaceship, but it’s not working.
John Ragner: we have to found this ship bjorn
Officer McClane: Agents, we need to help the folks who are burning!!!

A series of small explosions can be heard from afar.

John Ragner: i go and help the burning people
Most likely from generators, and PA systems on stage.
Bjorn Forde: thats a job for a firefighter
GM: The firetrucks cannot reach the field.
Bjorn Forde calls 911
Bjorn Forde has been awarded a benny
John Ragner has been awarded a benny
GM: For saving the townsfolks

As the fire begins to die down, it’s getting very dark out in the field.

John Ragner: i take out my mag light out
GM: You both see a small light flickering coming from the corn field
Woman: Agents, my husband is missing!!!!
John Ragner: i walk towards the light with my weapon draw and my mag light on

A desperate woman appears out of nowhere.

GM: Agent Ragner, you begin walking towards the corn field
Bjorn Forde: where did you last see him ms
[w] → John Ragner: you see darkness everywhere, but a small faint noise, like heavy breathing can be heard from nearby
Bjorn Forde: don’t tell me he walked into the field
Woman: I last saw him as he was receiving his prize for winning this year’s Pumpkin King.
GM: make a Smarts roll to remember
John Ragner: bjorn get your ass out here i think there is one more fucking creature
[w] → John Ragner: He cannot hear you

GM: w/ bjorn forde His name is Sterling Moore
Jessica Moore: Please help me find him. I think he ran off to the corn field.
Jessica Moore: What do both agenst do?

John Ragner: dude there is a light coming from a distance
John Ragner: we have to check it out

Richard Greene: Wha… what happened?
Sterling Moore: Did I win?
John Ragner: i walk towards the light with my mag light and weapon draw
Richard Greene: Who are you? Where’s my wife?
GM: Agent Ragner, what do you do?
John Ragner: i walk towards the light

Bjorn Forde: They are back at the festival or what’s left of it

The flickering light beging to grow. It’s about 1/2 mile away, deeper into the corn field.

John Ragner: im checking it out
Sterling Moore: Are you a cop or something?
Bjorn Forde: FBI, sir
Bjorn Forde shows his badge

[w] → John Ragner: You come upon what appears to be the remains of an alien spaceship
John Ragner: I check it out
Sterling Moore: May I go and see if my wife is okay, Agent?
Bjorn Forde (sad): of course
Richard Greene: So, did I fucking win the Pumpkin King award or what?!
Richard Greene richard greene looks upset
Bjorn Forde (angry): you sir are what we call a
Bjorn Forde (Danish) (angry): fucking ahole

Richard Greene leaves angrily!

[w] → John Ragner: The light appears to be some sort of becking call. It has a pattern.
Bjorn Forde (angry): I feel it’s linked to the conversion
John Ragner: i try to look for the door
